Management Bio'sRandy Jeter- Co-Founder and CEO of RapidScale Inc.Mr. Jeter has a "service first" approach to business and believes by empowering his employees to be leaders, his partners and customers receive a higher level of service. RapidScale is headquarted in Irvine, CA and is leading the way in business app virtualization via CloudDesktop. It is Mr. Jeter's goal to eliminate the personal computer and make the devices people use today, such as smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices their computer. Mr. Jeter has been included in multiple videos with Citrix discussing the topic of Desktop as a Service, IT as a Service, and business app virtualization. Mr. Jeter has spoken at the Southern California Growth Conference hosted by Harvard Business School Association of Orange County and the USC Marshall School of Business. He sat on the Channel Partner's Advisory Board from 2009-2010. In 2013, Mr. Jeter will be speaking at Comptel on Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), at Channel Partners on Desktop as a Service, and at numerous other cloud computing events throughout 2013. Mr. Jeter received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management from Vanguard University, and is the Chairman of a successful technology consulting company. William H. Hiatt III, Co-Founder and CTOMr. Hiatt has over thirteen year of experience in the IT industry. Prior to founding RapidScale with Mr. Jeter, Mr. Hiatt served as Director, Infrastructure Engineering at a large data VAR, where he was responsible for their datacenter practice encompassing access, virtualization, storage, disaster recovery, and efficiency and consolidation. Mr. Hiatt also developed, built, and managed a cloud-based computing platform, allowing small and medium business to outsource their IT infrastructure in a cost efficient way, while lowering their costs and increasing their service levels. Prior to working at a large data VAR, Mr. Hiatt served as National Director, IT Architecture at Advantage Sales & Marketing, a $1.2 billion food products and consumer packaged Goods Company based in Irvine, CA. Mr. Hiatt brings a deep understanding and knowledge of enterprise systems implementations, with an emphasis on access, virtualization, storage, and disaster recovery. Mr. Hiatt holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Chapman University and maintains multiple certifications covering a variety of disciplines. He has spoken at numerous industry conferences such as Storage & Networking World, Gartner Enterprise Datacenter Conference, and Network Storage Conference. He has also been published in a variety of magazines such as Byte & Switch, Computerworld, Infoworld, and Network Magazine. He has been nominated as a finalist on both CIO Magazine’s Ones to Watch and Computerworld’s Honors Program. Mark Szotkowski- President, West RegionAn experienced Technology Executive with over 18 years in the industry, Mr. Szotkowski brings Sales and Operational Management expertise to RapidScale. Before joining the RapidScale team, Mr. Szotkowski owned and operated a successful voice and data consulting company. Prior to his entrepreneurial venture, Mark served as the Regional Vice President for PAETEC Communication’s Western Region. Mark was a key team member responsible for launching the Western Region and as the RVP he grew sales from $0.00 to $32M in annual revenue with full P&L responsibilities. During the last year of his seven year tenure with PAETEC, Mark was promoted to Vice President of National Accounts. In this role, he was charged with bringing a consistent product offering and pricing to the company’s largest customers, managing multiple national account managers throughout the organization and of course growing the revenues for those accounts. Mark holds a BS in Finance from San Diego State University. Outside of his RapidScale life he enjoys spending time his fiancé, Ilysse and their 75 pound lap dog, Prada. |
Toby Hall- President, East RegionMr. Hall is a people person and those that know him from his professional baseball days can attest to that. After spending 9 years playing major league baseball for the Tampa Bay Rays, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Chicago White Sox, Mr. Hall has decided to no longer just invest in technology, but to be engaged and to lead an organization that he has been close to for some time. Mr. Hall served as the 2008 honorary head coach of the Special Olympics. Mr. Hall greeted the athletes and helped them kick-off the festivities. Mr. Hall also has his own charity called the Toby Hall Foundation. The Toby Hall foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of children facing and surviving adverse circumstances through educational support and entertaining experiences. It is Mr. Hall's leadership skills as a major league catcher, his charitable belief system, and his charismatic personality that undoubtedly will make Mr. Hall a well-known figure in cloud computing technology. J. Sherman Henderson III – Board MemberMr. Henderson has over 35 years of business experience, including company ownership, sales, marketing and management. He is currently President and CEO of Lightyear Network Solutions, LLC, formerly known as UniDial Communications, which was founded in 1993. His noteworthy success in the telecommunications industry began in 1986 when he oversaw Charter Network, a long-distance carrier serving the Midwestern United States. In 1998, UniDial was ranked #19 nationally among Inc. 500's fastest-growing privately held companies, generating annual revenue of $220 million by 2000. During the period from 1997 to 2000, Henderson became the only person to be elected three times as Chairman of the Telecommunications Reseller Association, and was named as one of the most influential people in the telecommunications industry. In 2004 he was elected as Chairman of COMPTEL, the leading trade association in for the competitive telecom industry, comprised of over 350 member companies. Henderson is a graduate of Florida State University, with a B.A. degree in Business Administration. Mike Wagner – Business AdvisorMike has spent over 20 years in the global technology market with an emphasis on 'fit for purpose' business software applications maximizing customers investment. He co-founded and lead a software development company providing inventory control and warehouse management logistic solutions for companies around the globe. In 2003, Mike chose to join/sell this company and his team with Epicor Software Corporation, a publicly traded company based in Southern California specializing in mid-market Enterprise Business Applications. Mike's company and talents contributed to the revenue growth of Epicor from $75M to $500M annually. More specifically while at Epicor, in addition to leading product development efforts, Mike successfully built Epicor's new 'Managed Services" division leveraging strategic low cost geographies such as Mexico, Kuala Lumpur, Egypt, and Slovakia enabling global follow-the-sun targeted support for Epicor's multi-national customers. More recently, Mike has leveraged his experiences and talents towards diligence efforts for Accel-KKR, a private equity firm focused in the mid-market technology space. Jim Patterson – Business AdvisorJim Patterson is currently the CEO of Patterson Advisory Group, an organization focused on business lifecycle and grow strategies for technology companies. Jim sold his first start-up, Mobile Symmetry, to Infotel Broadband Services Ltd. in 2011. Prior to that, Jim held various leadership roles during his 15 year tenure with Sprint, including president of Wholesale Services from 2008 to 2009, vice president of Cable Solutions from 2005 to 2008, vice president of Carrier Markets and of Network Access Management from 2001 to 2005, and vice president of Sprint E|Solutions Finance from 2000 to 2001. Earlier, Jim was a consultant to the financial services industry at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Jim is currently on the Board of Directors of Sequans (NYSE: SQNS), a 4G chipset company, and is a member of the Technology and Innovation Committee for Cbeyond Inc,, a regional local services provider.
